Tetenal Colortec Kits C-41 and E-6 are designed for the processing of films in developing tanks, e.g. from Jobo,
Paterson, A&P, etc. The ideal system are Jobo color processors: the tanks are rotating, the chemistry is
heated automatically.
In general you have 2 options regarding the processing of E-6 films in Tetenal E-6 3-Bath chemistry:
Option 1: To use it as one-shot chemistry, that means to always use freshly mixed chemistry
Option 2: Multiple use of the chemistry, working with a prolongation of times
While option 2 is more economical, option 1 is more save. The maximum yield of 30 films per box # 102036
can only be achieved, if one and the same solution is multiple used for the processing - linked with longer
times for First Developer, Colour Developer and Bleach Fix.
The table from the instruction shows the prolongation of time, depending upon the volume of chemistry.
Developing times for First Developer for different volumes:
500 ml: film 1 and 2 time 6:15
film 3 and 4 time 6:30 also applied, if 6 films are developed at a time
film 5 and 6 time 6:45
750 ml: film 1,2 and 3 time 6:15
film 4,5 and 6 time 6:30 also applied, if 9 films are developed at a time
film 7,8 and 9 time 6:45
1000 ml: film 1,2,3 and 4 time 6:15
film 5,6,7 and 8 time 6:30 also applied, if 12 films are developed at a time
film 9,10,11 and 12 time 6:45
Colour Developer and Bleach Fix times have to be prolonged also according the above table from
the instruction.
The processing time per bath is from first contact of film and chemistry to the contact of the film with
the following bath.
The required filling volumes are specified by tank manufacturers. For example Jobo:
Jobo 1510
Rotation: 140 ml
Manual inversion: 240 ml
Capacity: max. 1 x 135
Jobo 1520
Rotation: 240 ml
Manual inversion: 485 ml
Capacity: max. 2 x 135 or 2 x 120/ 1 x 220
